The funny thing about political debates (particularly with pundits) is that each side seems to feel that the other side knows the truth, but refuses to acknowledge it. Like they're just being contrary about the whole thing.

I had never really watched pundits argue before the drive out. I'd seem them solo and in self-supporting groups, even arguing with various experts celebs or people directly a part of whatever topic was at hand, but never with each other. Their interactions are... bizarre. Whereas when dealing with non-pundits, they eventually push them down into a lower status (dumber than the pundit, crazier than, less patriotic than, etc.), but with other pundits... it's like they almost see each other as equals in some respect and cannot understand how this other actual person can keep being so damned contradictory for no reason. It's bizarre.
